Robert De Toni is known for his ability to cut straight to the heart of a matter and to achieve cost effective results. From his days as a law student in the early 1990’s, and after his call to the Bar of Ontario in 1996, Robert has served the Ottawa community by advising clients in a variety of matters including, commercial and civil litigation, insolvency and collections, quasi-criminal matters, estate litigation and employment law disputes.
Known for providing prompt and practical solutions to his clients, Robert has argued matters in various levels of court including provincial offenses court, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. More recently, Robert has acted as an arbitrator in the produce industry by deciding disputes between buyers, sellers and growers of fresh fruits and vegetables.
In addition to providing back to the legal community by speaking at a number of conferences, and being instrumental in establishing the Ontario Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ elementary school mock trial program, Robert has provided back to the local Ottawa community as a volunteer coach and in a variety of organizations, including his most recent role as the Chair of the Children’s Aid Foundation of Ottawa.
